A public auction will be held on Saturday February 28, 2026, beginning at 2pm at 2019 East Lincoln Way, Ames, Iowa 50010 for disposal of approximately 70 abandoned vehicles.. All items will be sold to the highest bidder. All items are sold as-is with no warranty or guarantee. These vehicles have been impounded by the following companies: Capitol City Towing and Recovery, Central Iowa Towing and Recovery, Inc-Ames, Central Iowa Towing and Recovery, Inc-Marshalltown, Valley Wide Towing and Recovery and Central Iowa Towing and Recovery, Inc-Des Moines.Auction list and vehicle pictures can be found by liking Central Iowa Towing and Recovery on Facebook and going into the event details.
Vehicle inspections will begin 02/28/2026 from 12p-sale time.
Auction registration begins at 1:00pm, with the sale beginning promptly at 2:00pm.
Bidders must have a valid drivers license
Sale is outdoors, dress appropriately
All sales are cash or credit card (4% credit card fee applies)
All vehicles must be removed by 8 am on 03/02/2026.
