About this Event
Join STEM Sign and Native American Cultural Center for an evening of connection, land justice, and living science.
This is more than a workshop; it is a celebration of our interconnectedness with the Earth and one another.
The Experience
We are coming together to "lay the groundwork" for a healthy ecosystem. Come learn about Native American practices and the teachings of living soil. Through hands-on STEM education, we’ll explore how to nurture the ground that feeds us.
The Planting (Grow Where You Are Planted)
We want everyone to leave with the tools to grow!
We will have:
- Transplants & Slips: Tomatoes, culinary herbs, and potato slips will be available.
- BYOB (Bring Your Own Box): Please bring an old shoebox to use for potato planting!
- Supplies Provided: Don't worry if you don't have a pot—extra planting containers and our signature healthy soil will be available for everyone.
The Potluck (A Feast for All)
In the spirit of community and food justice, we invite you to participate in our communal potluck.
- Bring: A dish to share and your love for the Earth.
- Receive: Knowledge, seeds, and the joy of a shared meal.
All Are Welcome
Whether you are a seasoned grower or just starting to get your hands dirty, there is a place for you at our table. Let’s learn, share, and grow together.
"Our roots run deeper when we grow together."
