The Floyd County Elementary Basketball League, a program of Floyd County Parks and Recreation, is adding a non-competitive cheerleading program for the 2024-25 seasonThis program is open to all third and fourth grade students at New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation elementary schools.

TRYOUTS
+ The tryout will be held in Hazelwood Middle School's gymnasium.
+ Material for the tryout will be taught during the first portion of the tryout.
+ Tryouts are closed to parents and the public. A parent may enter the building momentarily to drop off child.
+ A parent must return at 3:45 p.m. to receive further information from the cheer director. We hope to include as many students as possible in this program.
+ The cost to participate in this program is $25. There is no fee to tryout.
PRACTICES
+ Cheer participants will practice once each week for 1.5 hours beginning after the holiday break.
+ A brief meeting with participants, parents, coaches and parks staff will be conducted at the first practice.
GAMES
+ Cheer participants will perform sideline cheers and quarter-ending cheers at 3rd-4th Grades Competitive Division games on Jan. 18, Jan. 25, Feb. 1, Feb. 8 and Feb. 9.
+ All games will be played at Scribner Middle School in New Albany.
+ Games last one-hour and will begin between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.
