About this Event

Welcome to Fatspo Pod’s NYC book club!

For August, our book is Fearing the Black Body by Sabrina Strings. Together, we will dive into anti-fat bias, that author’s perspective, and explore how it applies to our day-to-day lives.
RSVP to help us plan the best experience possible. You’ll also be added to our WhatsApp group where we discuss the book of the month, anything else we’re reading, and future NYC fat liberation events.

About the Host: Kat Lyon is the co-host of Fatspo Podcast and the host of the NYC Fatspo Pod Book Club. Fatspo Podcast dives into the untold histories of fat icons and fat liberation scholars to inform how we embody our fullest selves and support each other, as media and culture increasingly devalues our very existence.
