Father's Day DJ Class

About this Event

Vinyl is back! Whether your a music fan, have had dreams of being a DJ or are already a laptop DJ who wants to step into spinning wax, this experience is for you.

What to Expect:

The experience will be an introduction to hands on DJ mixing with a veteran instructor from the DMV area.

• Get hands on training to learn basic techniqe and mix 2 songs together
• Learn some hip-hop history
• Dig for your favorite hip-hop, R&B and rock records in our extensive library of vintage LP's and 12" singles from the 60's - 2000's

The entire experience will be about two hours long.

FOR DADS AND THE FAMILY

Kids must be at least 8 years of age to attend

Each Person must have their own ticket

Up to 10 guests per class

This is a group activity, not a private lesson. Be prepared to interact with other aspiring DJs and hip-hop enthusiasts as you work with our instructor.

GROUP PACKAGES:

For groups larger than 5, contact the organizer before you purchase your tickets to allow us to make special accommodations.

All sessions will begin and end on time. Please plan to arrive 10 min early.

Where:

The Words Beats & Life DJ & Production studio is in the community wing of St Stephen’s Church in Columbia Heights, DC. Enter in the parking lot on the 16th St NW side of the church and enter at the side door. You will need to contact the staff number provided in your order confirmation to be let in the building.

Parking:

There is free street parking on Newton and Meridian Streets NW. Please read the signs to make sure you are in compliance with the neighborhood regulations. Please do not park in the church lot, all spaces are reserved.

No alcohol or controlled substances allowed in the workshop.
