About OOGL
The Ottawa Outdoor Gear Library is dedicated to providing equitable access to nature-based experiences, land-based programming, and outdoor recreation.
We aim to serve people living with low incomes, racialized communities, 2SLGBTQ+ people, newcomers, youth, and anyone else who experiences barriers to outdoor activity.
We operate on the principle that systemic barriers should not prevent access to outdoor play and activity. Everyone deserves to enjoy the physical and mental health benefits of outdoor recreation.
No one who wishes to borrow gear will be turned away, however we encourage folks who have the financial resources to support a small business via gear rental to do so. Alternatively, you can donate to our organization when borrowing gear if you have the means.
