Aotearoa New Zealand’s hi-tek soul machine Fat Freddy’s Drop returns to the UK on Saturday 17th August at Dreamland in Margate as part of the Margate Summer Series! They will be joined by Gentleman’s Dub Club, Special Guest David Rodigan, The Herbaliser Band, Nubiyan Twist and DJ Vadim.

Hailing from the wind-swept South Coast of Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Fat Freddy’s Drop are internationally regarded as one of the world’s finest live performers.
As a seven-piece band, the Freddy’s sound is a unification of their collective ideas from across a breadth of musical backgrounds and influences; creating an sonic flavour that transcends time and coalesces traditionally opposing genres. Blending DJ Fitchie’s love of reggae and house with Joe Dukie’s soulful tones, and combined with an exuberant horn section, Freddy’s live shows are renowned for their bold and electric energy.
After a successful 2023 European tour, the band is building on this momentum as they prepare for their return to the Northern Hemisphere in 2024 with their first studio release since ‘Special Edition Part 1’.
