ABOUT THIS EVENT

The barbershop has always been more than a place to get a fresh cut. It's where real talk happens — between fathers and sons, neighbors and mentors, youth and the adults who believe in them.

Fathers and Sons Together (FAST) is bringing that tradition to the Rainier Beach Community Center Plaza on Saturday, April 4th. Barbershop Chat, Chew & Play is a free outdoor community gathering featuring real conversations between adults and youth, live entertainment, guest speakers, food, vendors, and — yes — fresh cuts.

This is a space for Rainier Beach families to connect, for young people to be heard, and for the whole community to come together in the spirit of safety, trust, and belonging.

Fathers and Sons Together (FAST) is a Seattle-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering families, strengthening bonds between fathers, sons, and caregivers, and building safer, healthier communities. Through mentorship, culturally grounded programming, and community events, FAST creates spaces where youth feel seen and families feel supported.
