CHANGE OF PLAN FOR THE MONDAY SKATE ON 27 OCTDue to the weekend's Gold Coast 500 event, we're going to repeat the route we did last fortnight to avoid parking probs. Our starting point will be in Currumbin, meeting at the car park at the junction of Duringan St and Pacific Parade. Easiest way to find that spot is to just enter one of the following in your mapping app, just make sure it's in Currumbin

We will be skating across a lot of new smooth beach side pavement, but I haven't done the whole route through to Coolangatta before and there probably will be some patches of pavement and road that will be a bit rough for any quad skaters. It's a first time so it's a bit of an experiment as well 😂.
At the very end of Coolangatta there's a very steep hill that goes up to Point Danger so that can be our natural finishing point.
We will meet at Currumbin 15 minutes before our start time which is 6 pm QLD (7pm NSW).
That route according to Google maps is 18k in total, mainly flat 😁

EVENT DETAILS
⦿ Unlike our other Rollout formats, this one is definitely NOT all ages or abilities; ONLY suitable for experienced fast skaters able to go 20k. Quad skaters are welcome only if they are real athletes that will be able to keep up with the bladers. We will occasionally stop at a bubbla for water.
⦿ ALL WHEELS: Roller skates, inline blades, freeskates, scooters, unicycles, electric longboards, skateboards, wheelchairs, buggies! People on electric wheels need to check their battery has enough range.
⦿ WHEN: Meet 5.45pm ready to head off at 6pm. You will see Julio and friends on the beach path, beside a couple of benches, alongside the free car park that's across the road from a building called "Waterford on Main Beach". The building's address is 3482/3488 Main Beach Parade in Main Beach, and we park in the car park on the beach side of the road from it. We skate the smooth beach path towards Miami; then go onto a residential road at Broadbeach before joining the beach path again at Nobby beach. 10k each way, all flat.

ABOUT US: Gold Coast Rollout is a network of many thousands of skaters from Brisbane to Byron, that roller skate/blade for fun or professionally, across all skate disciplines (dance/jam/rhythm skating, roller derby, figure skating, speed skating, trick/slalom, aggressive skating, etc).
