Forget everything you know about traditional life drawing. This is fashion illustration with a fabulously flamboyant HIBISCUS twist!
Join Carley Hague, founder and designer of HIBISCUS, and fashion illustrator Bee (@linbeedwo) for an inspiring, experimental drawing session set within the colourful world of THE PERFECT STORM.
Our models will be dressed in an extraordinary mix of looks from the new HIBISCUS collection, alongside some of the most spectacular sculptural drag costumes from Carley's personal wardrobe.
Expect dramatic silhouettes, outrageous shapes, fabulous textures, incredible colour and striking poses, all designed to challenge your imagination and inspire something completely different.
This isn't about creating a perfect drawing. It's about letting go, experimenting and discovering new ways of expressing what you see.
Carley and Bee will guide you through an expressive journey of fashion illustration, encouraging you to explore different materials, embrace unexpected techniques and push your creative boundaries.
From quick, energetic sketches to more considered interpretations of the garments and models, you'll be encouraged to develop your own artistic response to the spectacle unfolding in front of you.
Whether you're an experienced illustrator, a budding artist or simply someone who loves fashion and wants to try something different, come ready to experiment, play and get wonderfully creative.

WHAT TO BRING
Some paper and basic drawing materials will be provided, but please bring your own selection of mixed-media materials so you can really experiment.
Think coloured pencils, pastels, charcoal, inks, paints, markers or anything else you enjoy working with. The more variety, the better!
Please dress warmly. The workshop takes place inside a former industrial warehouse, which can be chilly when you're sitting and drawing.
Tea, coffee and delicious locally made pastries will be available to purchase from the café area.
Come curious, bring your imagination and prepare to see fashion in a whole new way.
