About this Event
ABOUT THIS EVENT
This course explores how a deeper understanding of fascia and myofascia can enhance clinical reasoning in physiotherapy assessment and treatment planning.Rather than teaching new techniques or overhauling existing frameworks, the course invites clinicians and trainers to reconsider traditional beliefs about manual therapy and exercise prescription through the lens of fascia’s role in human anatomy.
Participants will engage in a mix of lecture-based learning (40–50%), hands-on demonstrations (20–30%), and small group discussions. The focus is on integrating fascia-informed insights into existing practices—especially in soft tissue work, palpation, and exercise design—without discarding what already works. Expect a collaborative, thought-provoking experience that challenges assumptions and expands your clinical toolkit.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
- Understand the anatomical and functional properties of fascia and myofascia
- Explore how fascia influences clinical reasoning in assessment and treatment
- Review relevant, up-to-date scientific research on fascia and manual therapy
- Apply fascia-informed concepts to palpation, mobilisation, and exercise prescription
- Participate in group-based learning to demonstrate practical integration of course concepts
