Farthing Common 12 mile walk

This 12 mile walk starts from Farthing Common, which is a wonderful location to commence a walk, with far reaching views over the landscape below.
Setting off along the North Downs Way, the steep-sided valleys are concealed below the crest of the Downs, with grassy paths threaded through. Upon reaching Staple Farm, we then head diagonally over a field to join the Elham Valley Way (EVW), following it through Etchinghill Golf Course and onward to Lyminge.
We remain on the EVW, as far as Elham, where our picnic lunch will mostly likely be taken, whilst the Kings Arms, located in the Square is useful for halftime drinks.
Continuing on, the circuit heads across mostly open countryside to Rhodes Minnis, then into West Wood. In the latter stages of the walk, we pass through Hemsted & Skeete, before returning to Farthing Common.
Dogs welcome, but please keep on a short lead when required.
