Farmacy Fundamentals is an immersive, in-person, seven-month journey designed to transform your relationship with the plant world. Following the natural rhythm of the seasons, this hands-on class series guides you step-by-step from plotting your first medicinal seeds to stocking your home apothecary with handcrafted remedies.
Whether you have a sprawling backyard or a few sunny patio pots, you will learn the ancient art and modern science of growing, tending, harvesting, and crafting your own plant medicine.
June – August: Tending the garden and materia medica! As the garden grows, we dive deep into plant profiles and the essentials of botanical care. You will learn how to identify and build relationships with your herbs while exploring the actions, phytochemistry, and energetics of each plant we planted.
September – October: Harvest and processing! As the season turns, we focus on reaping what we have sown. Learn the best practices for harvesting herbs at their peak potency. We will cover techniques for washing, drying, garbling, and storing plant material to ensure it remains effective throughout the year.
November – December: The home apothecary! In the final months, we transform our processed harvest into potent remedies. This period is dedicated to the craft of medicine making, where you will learn to create tinctures, salves, infused oils, and syrups to support wellness through the winter months.
Investment and Registration
Space is limited to 20 students to ensure an intimate, hands-on learning environment.
Full Season Pre-Registration: $250 Commit to the full seasonal cycle for a discounted rate. This secures your spot in all seven classes and provides the most comprehensive experience. Link below for full series registration.
