Robin and Chris Buxton farm at Lower Farm, Long Wittenham, Abingdon on light soils near the Thames. They have a herd of 28 Dexters which are essesntial in managing what is foremost a conservation project. The farm is all grass, and includes some flood plain meadows cut for hay.
A perfect event if you are;
- Considering getting into cattle - Robin and Chris will talk about how they started the herd
- Looking at conservation grazing
- Farming light land and the associated challenges
- Want to really understand cattles impact in conservation - listen and question Robin who has spent a lifetime in the conservation sector with both a practical and acedemic background
