About this Event
Farm Day is a work day at the farm. It’s an opportunity for you to learn farming skills and help prepare land to feed communities fresh produce. Farm Day can serve as just another day in liberation or your introduction to working and learning on a Black Farm. Volunteering at a Black farm like Liberation Farm is more than just lending a hand — it's about supporting farmland equity and building a stronger, more resilient community. It's a chance to reconnect with the land, relearn farm practices that honor the earth, and reclaim our right to food sovereignty.
We invite you to bring vegan snacks to share with everyone after the workday — a time to rest, connect, and celebrate our community. 🌱🍉
Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes and long pants to volunteer on the farm.
Children are welcome and must be supervised at ALL times. Please be careful the farm has various terrains, it may rain, and we will be using farming tools and equipment.
What should you bring?
- Refillable water bottle
- Bug spray
- Sun screen
- Change of clothes
- Hat
Please sign up for farm work dates only if you are certain you can attend. If your availability changes, please cancel your slot promptly to allow others to participate.
Liberation Farm depends on the commitment of our community to support our efforts in growing people and plants. Our farm work is planned based on the number of volunteers who sign up, and unexpected absences can significantly disrupt our operations.
If you'd like to deepen your impact, please consider making a donation to Liberation Farm — every gift helps us grow more food, host more learning days, and build a stronger future rooted in community and sovereignty. 🌾🖤
We deeply appreciate your willingness to contribute to our farm and community.
Thank you for your understanding and your vital role in supporting Liberation Farm's mission to cultivate food sovereignty and community growth. We greatly value your commitment to our community and our mission.
