🌱🍒Farm Education Days for Home School

Bring your students to the farm for a fun, hands-on learning adventure! During our Farm Education Day, children will explore how food grows and what it takes to care for a working orchard.

Students will:

• Visit our cherry and blueberry orchards and learn how fruit trees and bushes grow
• Discover how farmers care for plants throughout the seasons
• Ask questions, explore nature, and learn through real-life experiences

These educational field trip days are completely free and are designed to spark curiosity, encourage outdoor learning, and connect children to where their food comes from.

We have a picnic area for lunch(not included), and our farm market will be open during your visit. A few optional hands-on add-ons are available for a small fee.

As a former teacher, educating children is still my passion. Offering these farm education days is my way of giving back to our community and helping children learn, grow, and connect with agriculture in a meaningful way.

By the end of the farm visit, students will be able to:

• Understand where fruits and vegetables come from
• Identify basic parts of fruit trees and plants
• Describe how farmers care for crops as they grow
• Experience the planting process firsthand
• Develop respect for nature, farming, and local food systems

Each teacher (guardian) will receive an agenda for their students with the days itenary and learning materials including for pre and post field trip.

You must book your spot, each student must have their own ticket, guardians do not need to reserve one.

Optional Market & Ice Cream Experience

If you would like to include it as part of the experience, students may:

• Purchase ice cream and farm products from our market
• Enjoy 1 scoop of ice cream or a small slushy for $3 per child, a discounted school rate

Participation in the market and ice cream is optional and teacher-directed.
