Farm-A-Versary at Lala's Family Farm — A Community Celebration

Join us at Lala's Family Farm in Sebastopol for a free community open house celebrating six years of growing, sharing, and giving back.
About this Event

Six years ago, Paula Glogovac moved onto five- acres in Sebastopol with a vision: grow food, share it freely, and build something the community could call its own. Today Lala's Family Farm has over 75 raised planter boxes, 40 fruit trees, 60 chickens, and a farm stand rooted in a simple belief: pay what you can, take what you need.

On August 28th, which also happens to be Paula's birthday, we are throwing open the gates and inviting you to come celebrate with us.

This is a free, family-friendly community open house. Come as you are, stay as long as you like.

What's happening on the day:

1. Tomato Tasting — sample varieties grown right here on the farm and taste the difference that good soil and good care make.
2. Seed Exchange — bring seeds to swap or just come browse. All experience levels welcome.
3. Self-Guided Farm Tour — wander the property at your own pace and see what four acres of love and intention looks like up close.
4. Chef on Site — we will have a chef on the property for a farm-to-table cooking demonstration using produce straight from the garden.
5. Live Music — backyard style, all day long.
6. Meet Our Partners — representatives from the Redwood Empire Food Bank and Abimax will be on site to share about their work and answer questions.
7. Birthday Celebration — it's Lala's birthday and we are celebrating six years of this wild, wonderful farm.

Give Back While You're Here:

We are using this day to support the Redwood Empire Food Bank through both a food drive and a monetary donation collection. REFB staff will be on site all day to accept donations directly.

Earn raffle tickets for every non-perishable item you bring or every monetary donation you make. Raffle prizes include Abimax products among other farm and garden goodies. We will be drawing throughout the day.

If you are able, please bring non-perishable food items. Every donation goes directly to the Food Bank.

• Parking: Event parking is limited so we encourage guests to carpool when possible. Additional details will be shared closer to the date.
• Restrooms: Portable restrooms will be available on site for guests throughout the event.

This event is open to all ages. RSVP is required to help us plan; no ticket needed. We cannot wait to see you on the farm.
