FanART: Appropriation and Affection explores the ways artists engage with popular culture, shared imagery, and personal connections through the act of reinterpretation. This exhibition examines the balance between inspiration and transformation, highlighting how familiar icons, stories, and visual references can be reimagined to create new meanings and perspectives.
This event will feature works from students, faculty, and staff from all campuses. Join us for the opening reception on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at the UnionWest Downtown Gallery (Fifth Floor). The exhibition will be on view October 1–December 4, 2026, with gallery hours Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
