Famous Disasters Throughout History!Join us for a fun, hands-on introduction to STEAM projects inspired by some of the most impressive disasters throughout history including the sinking of the Titanic, Mount Vesuvius and more!. Over six exciting weeks, we’ll build some of the grand machines involved in some of these disasters, explore the marvels of nature and learn together about these fascinating historical events.
Each week includes a new STEAM challenge, giving students the chance to create, experiment, and explore through interactive activities.
This is a fantastic opportunity for kids to discover something new, spark their creativity, think about some big problems and brainstorm solutions and make new friends.

Length: 6 sessions
Week 1: What is a disaster?
Week 2: The Titanic: An Unsinkable Ship
Week 3: Mt. Vesuvius and Pompeii
Week 4: The Great Chicago Fire
Week 5: The Spanish Flu of 1918
Week 6: Creating a disaster preparedness plan!
Fee: $100 per student

Requirements:
Children must be at least 8 years old by January 1, 2025
No reading or writing skills required—just bring your curiosity and imagination!

This is a drop off class. We are a small business and we have maximized our class space which means we only have a small space for parents to wait, but you are welcome to utilize it if you prefer!
Maximum class size is 16 students.
