Family Weekend 2026
About this Event
Join us as we celebrate our Scarlet and Silver Family Weekend at Bellarmine University on October 16-18, 2026 starting Friday at 5:00 PM with fun-filled events for parents and families. It's a great opportunity to connect with other families, visit the campus, and engage in university activities.
Admission is $15 per person (Bellarmine students and kids 6 and under are free!), which includes a Family Weekend Koozie and admission to El Carnaval, Brunch with President Donovan, Not so Late Knight Bingo hosted by the Bellarmine Activities Council (BAC), and the Closing Cookout in Palio!
Friday, October 16
Location: Quad
Check-in and enjoy our annual El Carnaval celebration with live band performances, food trucks, beer tickets, lawn games, sweet treats and great company! Utilize the "Get Tickets" tab to reserve a ticket and connect with your fellow Knights!
Saturday, October 17
Location: Frazier Hall
Check-in before attending brunch with President Susan B. Donovan in University Dining Hall (UDH)! After brunch, choose your own adventure and cheer on Sprint Football as they face-off against Midway University at Holy Cross High School, or join us on a bourbon tour at Peerless Distillery! We will transport those who purchased bourbon tour tickets to the distillery for the tasting & tour. Note: Guests must be 21 to purchase a tour ticket.
When you get back to campus in the late afternoon, join Bellarmine Activity’s Council (BAC) for Not so Late Knight Bingo. This is a favorite student tradition with lots of fun prizes!
Finish off the night at the Louisville FC Game! Tickets grant you access to a covered seating area in the Waterfront Supporter Zone, taco bar dinner, and cash bar! Seniors graduating in December and May can email Cole Lopez ([email protected]) for a drink ticket voucher to redeem at the bar! Vouchers are limited to 4 per group with 40 tickets total and are included in the price for the game!
Hot tip: Grab dinner in the city with your student before the Louisville FC game! We recommend Impellizzeri’s Pizza, a BU alumni-owned pizza spot (students get 15% with a Bellarmine ID!); Havanna Rumba, a tasty Cuban restaurant just a 5-minute drive away from campus, located next to a student favorite, Graeter's Ice Cream.
Sunday, October 18
Wrap up Family Weekend with Mass at 10:00 AM with Father John in Our Lady of the Woods Chapel, followed by a Family Weekend Closing Cookout in Palio. If you and your family are interested in serving as a gift bearer, lector, or with collections please email the Sacristan, Alexis Santiago ([email protected])! After the cookout, finish out the festivities by heading down the hill to Trager Stadium to cheer on our Field Hockey team against UMass Amherst!
Additional questions? Email Cole Lopez, Assistant Director of Orientation and Engagement at [email protected].
