Family Services of Peel is honored to invite you our agency's first International Women’s Day (IWD 2025) Gala. This signature event is scheduled for March 8, 2025, at the Mississauga Grand Banquet & Event Centre, located at 35 Brunel Road, Mississauga, Ontario L4Z 3E8, and commences at 6:00 PM. This special evening will unite community leaders, advocates, and changemakers to celebrate women’s achievements and advance gender equity under this year’s theme, #AccelerateAction. Our Gala theme, When Women Rise, Families Thrive, emphasizes the transformative power of empowered women in strengthening their families and communities.
Together, we can celebrate women's contributions and work toward a brighter, more inclusive future. The evening will feature inspiring speakers, live performances, silent auction, dancing to follow, featuring DJ Nilo of Cherish Entertainment, fabulous raffle prizes and valuable networking opportunities.
This year’s event will feature:
• HON. IQRA KHALID: Member of Parliament. Mississauga—Erin Mills, Ontario
• LIBERTY SILVER: The ICONIC, two-time Juno Award Winner and Grammy Award Winner
• HEATHER CHRISTINE: Award-winning vocalist, songwriter, producer and community advocate
• DWANIA PEELE: Emcee – Founder, Canadian Small Business Women
The 2025 International Women’s Day (IWD) Gala will spotlight the essential roles women play in fostering an inclusive community within the Region of Peel—a place where families can truly thrive.
