Family Recovery Journey is a 5-session program for family and those who care for and/or support people living with serious mental illness. The program is developed by the Schizophrenia Society of Canada. It includes a focus on psychosis, yet includes education on other serious mental illnesses.
Family Recovery Journey is about strengthening family members, friends and caregivers of individuals with a serious mental illness by providing support, awareness and tools. Participants get the real scoop about mental illness, treatment options, causes, research, and health services available, in the hopes of diminishing the stigma attached to mental illness.
The sessions are in-person and take place at the CMHA NB Building. There is no cost to register but space is limited. Please register by email - [email protected] or by calling (506) 455-5231. The first session is Oct. 29 from 6:30-8:00 pm.
