Location: Lake Elmo Park Reserve (Swim Pond area)
Note: A Washington County vehicle permit is required for entry.
Permit Cost per Vehicle
Daily Permit $7
Annual Permit (valid 12 months from month of purchase) $30
🎒 What to Bring
Food: Pack your own family picnic, snacks, and drinks.
Gear: Towels, swimsuits, and sand toys for the beach.
Safety: Coast Guard-approved life jackets (if needed)
Important Park Rules & Safety
To ensure everyone has a great time, please keep these park policies in mind:
Supervision Children must be supervised by an adult at all times, including in the water.
Flotation Only Coast Guard-approved life jackets allowed. No noodles, wings, or tubes.
Swimwear Please use swim diapers for little ones.
Pets Not allowed on the beach or picnic areas (trails only, on-leash).
Prohibited No alcohol, no glass containers, and no smoking on the sand.
Lifeguard Tip: Safety breaks occur every hour. Please listen for lifeguard whistles and directions during these times!

Electronic Pay Stations
Electronic pay stations are installed in all parks, either outside the Park Office at park entrances or near the parking areas. Both daily and annual permits are available for purchase. Only credit cards are accepted. Please follow directions on the machine and on the printed receipt. If an annual permit is purchased from the Electronic Pay Station, the receipt must be mailed or brought into a Park Office to be redeemed for a vehicle sticker.
