All kinds of families face challenges from time to time and Family Hubs ensurw families with children aged 0-19 can access integrated early help to overcome difficulties and build stronger relationships.

It has been recognised since the founding of the welfare state that lack of family support undermines the ability of health and education to transform children’s outcomes. In this free seminar Samantha will examine why family hubs are so vital in overcoming these challenges and the vision for the future. She will also discuss her role working with Lord Farmer and as Co-Founder and Director of Family Hubs Network, which they have set up to implement and further develop Family Hubs.

Vicky will then share how Spurgeons are taking a holistic approach with their Pr*son Family Hub, working inside the Pr*son walls and out into communities, to bridge the gap for families affected by imprisonment.

During her talk Vicky will discuss working with parents and children to maintain and strengthen family ties during imprisonment and how they are working to improve the transition from custody to the community, involving the family to facilitate successful reintegration into society.
