Financial Aid:

Family/Group Family Child Care owners and Legally Exempt Providers ATTEND FREE with VOICE/CSEA by visiting VOICE/CSEA, then call Brightside Up to register. Assistants are not covered by VOICE/CSEA and are encouraged to apply for EIP.

Funding may be available for Family/Group, Center and School-age providers through the Educational Incentive Program (EIP) by visiting ECETP.

Eligible Quality Stars NY programs will receive a code to register using QSNY funding.

Risk Management

Info: Childcare programs, while rewarding, come with a great deal of responsibility. The program is responsible for the mental, physical, and emotional needs of the child while running the business. By identifying potential risks and creating a Risk Management plan for your program, you can ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children and program.

Record Keeping

Info: Learn what business records you need to keep as a family childcare provider. The training lists what documentation is required by the regulations in Part 416-417, Child Care Services. It also reviews other records you should keep as a best business practice. And finally, it offers tips for organizing written or electronic records and developing a system for keeping everything up to date.

Participants will explore the connection between child development and behavior, learn practical guidance techniques, and reflect on how their responses can promote healthy relationships and positive learning environments.
