Each family will work on one statue together.
This workshop is a fun way to bring new life to an old statue and turn it into something that no one else will have, and perhaps make you see the creature you are transforming, in a new light. Pia Dugger’s piece in Waste to Wonder that this workshop is based off was inspired by her love and use of animal specimen within her own paintings but applied to this found 3D form. See the painting “Workhorse” that inspired the sculpture “Glitch Pony” below. Participants will be given some guidance, and shown some techniques, but everyone’s status will be unique to them and their abilities. The goal is for every family to enjoy creating and walk away with a fun sculpture. $20 per Family.
