About this Event
Join the Hanai Foundation for our fall cooking class series! Our recipes will be inspired by seasonal eating and incorporate locally sourced produce. Each class will focus on a different fall vegetable. We will cook a recipe inspired by it, learn about how it grows, and how people cook with it.
Classes will be led by our very own Center Coordinator, Juliana Biggs. Juliana has a background in nutrition education, has been cooking with her family all her life, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Public Health. She is passionate about giving people the tools they need to make informed choices about their health and wellness and she believes that learning about nutrition can happen at any age!
Class Themes
Oct 1st - Week 1: Squash
Oct 8th - Week 2: Mushrooms
Oct 15th - Week 3: Pumpkin
Oct 22nd - Week 4: Apples
Cost to attend for all 4 classes is $200 per student, parent/guardian admission is included.
**Early bird discount: Sign up by September 10th and pay $150 for the series
