Family Fishing Clinic and Derby
Join us at the WWGC Office for a fun and relaxed Family Fishing Clinic on June 20, 2026 at 3:00 PM (Central Time).
Whether you're a beginner or just want to spend some quality time with your loved ones, this is the perfect chance to learn fishing tips and tricks together. Some of the things we will be covering is knot tying, fish anatomy and handling, how to set up a fishing rod, baits and lures, rules and regulations, ethics, and how to find the fish. After the classroom portion, we will move to Westbury Lake and have dinner before beginning backyard bass, a game that allows everyone to get comfortable with casting. Soon after that, we will begin the fishing derby.
There are 5 prize categories for the fishing derby: Biggest Fish, Smallest Fish, First Catch of the Day, Most Fish Caught, and First Catch Ever(Mulitple winners). The prizes include Rod and Reel Combos, Tackle Boxes, Official WWGC Hats, and Gift Cards.
ENTRY INTO THE DERBY IS AN ADD-ON PURCHASE. DERBY PURCHASE WILL INCLUDE DINNER.
