The shako – a tall, cylindrical military cap with a visor – was an important part of military uniforms in the 19th and early 20th centuries. These hats were often decorated with various ornaments of metal, fabric, and feathers, as well as various symbols related to the country’s military. Learn more about this unique part of the military uniform and decorate your own shako to take home.When: Saturday, September 6; drop in between 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
