Join us at the Native Wellness Garden for our August Family Culture Night! This month’s program is guided by the Seven Grandfather Teaching of Bravery as we explore the sacred role of traditional tobacco in Native culture and the importance of protecting its teachings. Designed with middle and high school youth in mind, but open to all ages, we’ll discuss how commercial tobacco and e-cigarette marketing targets young people while learning the cultural significance of one of our most sacred medicines. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn how to cultivate, harvest, and prepare traditional tobacco.
