ℹ️What is this workshop about?Family Constellations or systemic work is based on the work of Bert Hellinger and has become a therapeutic modality in its own right. It works from the premises that we as individuals are influenced by family patterns and trauma which are carried through the generations. Family constellations look at these
patterns in a very visual way and works to undo entanglement that may be manifested through, amongst others, habits, emotions and attitudes by the individual. It is done in a group setting, where the client explains his/her question about their own
life. The facilitator and the client also talk a little about the client’s family history. The participants are then asked to represent members of the client’s family and the client. The constellation is then enacted while the facilitator is working on disentangling
the client from any generational trauma or loyalties to specific individuals or events. The client is throughout witnessing the evolvement of the constellation without entering into
it, unless the facilitator deems it more beneficial.
Constellation/systemic work can also be done on other aspects of life, such as work situations, friend/work/romantic relationships, illness, addiction and many more. The facilitator will discuss with the client to clarify the question/aspect that needs to be
worked on before the constellation is set up.
➡️We are aiming to hold 3 or 4 Constellations, depending on the collective energy and timing of the day. Last time we managed four and it felt like a great pace, but we’ll stay flexible to ensure every piece of work gets the space it needs.

This workshop is limited to 15 participants, including clients.
⚠️ Please note that if you have never attended a family constellations workshop, we ask that you attend at least one workshop as a participant before you attend as a client.
What happens during the workshop?
After the facilitator and the client has discussed what to work on, the client will choose participants to represent their family members/others/different aspects. The client will then place them in the space available according to how s/he feels they fit in the
dynamic. The facilitator then will guide the representatives through the constellation.
What are the different roles?
🌱 Participant: You are open to represent one of the clients’ family member/other. You will be guided through the constellation as to what to do and there is no preparation or knowledge needed.
🌱 Client: You will share some personal information with the facilitator and the group that is applicable to the constellation work, including some information about your family
(partners, grandparents, great grandparents). If you don’t have access to family history, don’t worry - the constellation will inform us what we need to work on. The client can prepare by getting some useful information that includes big events in the
family (both matriarchal and patriarchal) such as:
- sudden/early death
- miscarriages/abortions
- illness, both physical & mental
- divorce, affairs, previous/current partners or spouses
- children born out of wedlock/half siblings
- poverty/scandal/prostitution
- war/natural disaster
- or anything else that has had a big impact on the family

🌸 Some thoughts on constellation work from the facilitator 🌸
After having been doing this work for a few years now, I am still amazed every time I hold a workshop. For me, it’s the beauty of how strangers hold space for each other, support each other and care for each other that brings me the deep satisfaction of this work. I love the exploration element; we are always following the constellation without any results in mind. It allows us to flow with the dynamics and opens up the potential to reach deeper into the trauma. Without expectations, everything is a possibility.
Every workshop is similar and yet different from other workshops. It never ceases to fascinate me how, as humans, we all carry the same emotions, the same pain, and the same struggles but our stories are sometimes completely different. It humbles me to so
frequently be reminded how resilient, adaptable and courageous we are both individually and together.
I look forward to each constellation like I was a child stepping into new adventures. I never know what will come up, what will happen or what I will learn. I only know that it will be magical because it always is. ✨
