About this Event

A 5-mile round trip cycle along the River Tyne for all the family, with the Cycling Leaders from North East Young Dads and Lads. We'll stop along the way to spot wildlife and play games.
Don't have a bike but fancy joining in? We have a limited number of bikes available to borrow for this ride. Please get in touch with us at [email protected] to enquire.
The route will be mostly flat with only slight inclines, taking us from Baltic over the Gateshead Millennium Bridge and along the Newcastle Quayside, following the river West, then returning to Baltic, a total of 5 miles with stops along the way.Head inside after the ride for a free hot or cold drink in Front Room.
Please book one place per person attending. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Please note

North East Young Dads & Lads and Baltic want to keep everyone safe on our bike rides. Every participant must wear a helmet on our rides, and for our longer rides you must have experience of riding a bike on road and paved terrain.

We reserve the right to stop cyclists who pose dangers to pedestrians, road users or other members of the cycling group.

Before each ride our bike leaders will help you make sure your bike is ready to ride and be on hand to assist with any punctures along the way. Please ensure you bring your own equipment (such as inner tubes), we can provide some if we have the right equipment, but if we don’t there would be little we can do. Helmets must be worn.

All rides are subject to cancellation due to adverse weather conditions, we will contact you if this is the case.

Whether bringing your own bike or loaning a bike, please come with suitable clothing and footwear for the bike ride.
