Do you have a family member or friend dealing with a mental health challenge? During this 90-minute seminar, you’ll learn how to best support them… and yourself.

It's a chance to meet other people in the same situation. Get information - and support - from people who understand what you're going through.

The Family & Friends workshop is led by volunteers with experience supporting a family member with a mental health condition. You'll hear from real people with real life experiences.

They'll walk you through understanding diagnoses, and treatment - and what we mean by "recovery." They'll share effective communication strategies, crisis preparation strategies, and other NAMI-NYC and community resources. And they'll talk about the importance of self-care.
