Oslo Sambaskole invites families with children to join something truly special – marching and dancing with us in the parade during Verdenskarneval 2026 on June 6th in Oslo!🌍 About the carnival
For the third year in a row, Verdenskarneval brings together people and cultures from around the world in a unique celebration in the heart of Oslo. The program includes a vibrant parade, performances, concerts, workshops, and more.
✨ This year’s theme is community (fellesskap) – celebrating how dance, music, and culture connect us.
About Oslo Sambaskole
Oslo Samba School (G.R.E.S. Unidos de Oslo) is a non-profit cultural association creating an authentic samba community in Norway. We are a warm and inclusive group sharing the joy and traditions of Brazilian samba in Oslo.
This year, we’re creating a family section in the parade – and we’d love for you to join!
👨👩👧👦 Who can join?
Families with kids of all ages – no dance experience needed! To join Oslo Sambaskole in the parade you have to register, and join at least one of the Family Samba Practices, where we will prepare for the carnival. You can choose between the following dates:
🎶 Family Samba Practices
• Sunday May 3rd (12.00–13.00)
• Sunday May 10th (12.00–13.00)
• Sunday May 24th (12.00–13.00)
Location: Oslo city center, Arbeidergata 4 (near Stortinget metro)
💰 parade trainings are free! before the carnival for the whole family. Come as you are and enjoy samba together.
🇧🇷 Theme for our family group
We will represent Brazil! Instead of full costumes, we’ll dress in Brazil’s colors: green and yellow 💛💚
