FamilienFest is a VW Car Show put on by Mission Avenue cruisers at Deer Park winery in Escondido. soft grass and plenty of shade under the trees! Swap meets in the back Row and snacks in the front . kids jumper and activities will be upfront alongside the main booth. ..We have a large raffle of vintage and modern accessories as well as a special treat this year… A 71 bay window registered and running included in the raffle a little history about the show(Familienfest was started back in 1995 by my father John Winkley and his club Strictly Vintage 2s and ran for many years. After a 12 year hiatus we spoke with the remaining members of SV2S and asked if we could take the show over with our club Mission Avenue Cruisers, when we took it over I knew I wanted to try and recreate the show I grew up attending and also wanted to show respect to the original location and way the show was put on. We have now put the show on for 6 years now at the original location of Deer Park Winery in beautiful Escondido CA. It is one of the last shows on grass under trees and that makes for a great day and event. We as a club try and put on a great event thats affordable for the entire family , we also try and do a special raffle along side our normal one. This year we are raffling off a running driving registered 1971 tin top baywindow bus. Dont want to miss out of this beautiful event and the chance to drive home in your new bus!!!
