This Christmas we have the opportunity to bless foster communities through our fam closet Christmas Outreach. Aimed at filling an unmet need in Muscogee County and the surrounding areas, fam closet is a clothing bank for foster families across the region to help with the initial challenges of a foster placement as well as on-going support by partnering with DFCS, and other Foster Care support ministries and agencies in our area.We will serve these families by providing them with new, and gently used clothing items, free of charge. Located at our building at 5131 Hamilton Rd., local Foster Care Advocates will have the opportunity to come and select the needed items for children ages 0-18 years of age.
HOW YOU CAN HELP.
1. Donate clothing items.
2. Donate freezer meals.
3. Volunteer.
4. Give.
CLOTHES
Donation bins located at Milltown Coffee (5350 Veterans Pkwy).
Donate NEW items, for ages 0-18 years of age for both male and female:
- Closed toe shoes
- Socks
- Underwear
- Pajamas
- Blue Jeans
- Rain Jackets
- Graphic Teas
- School Uniforms
MEALS
Please provide frozen meals only, no canned goods or dry goods. Meals can be delivered to the fam closet (5131 Hamilton Rd.) on Wednesdays 9A-2P.
Purchased Meals
You can provide family sized frozen meals that have been purchased.
(Example: Marie Calendar’s Casseroles or Pot Pies, Stouffer's Lasagna, Tyson Family Pack Chicken Tenders, Smuckers Uncrustables, etc.)
Homemade Meals
Please freeze all meals.
Bring in disposable, tin foil containers that can be heated in the oven.
Attach the meal label (available at the fam closet display in Milltown Coffee), and fill out listing all ingredients.
VOLUNTEER | 9A - 2P Mondays and Wednesdays
Help organize donated items or serve families as they shop. To serve over the Christmas Season, or to sign up to serve on a monthly rotation on Mondays or Wednesdays, click the button below.
