Falls Road Safety: Ideation Workshop (July 14)
About this Event
In collaboration with local neighborhood partners—such as the Neighborhood Design Center, Bikemore, Blue Water Baltimore, Rails to Trails, and Friends of the Jones Falls—and with support from the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) Highway Safety Office, the MICA Center for Creative Impact is facilitating the Falls Road Safety Project. Through this project, our goal is to to increase safe behaviors of drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists along Falls Road by:
- Identifying and documenting critical short- and long-term traffic safety issues.
- Developing, testing, and evaluating creative interventions that increase the safety of all users.
- Developing strategies to integrate and implement creative interventions within broader efforts already underway along Falls Road.
This summer, we are hosting four workshops to brainstorm ideas for improving safety on Falls Road. During each workshop, we will:
- Share the findings from our research to hear your thoughts, feedback, and experiences as user of Falls Road.
- Brainstorm ideas for how to improve safety on Falls Road, using our findings to guide us.
There will be four workshops offered in total, but the content of each workshop will be the same, so please come to whichever best fits your schedule!
Participation is free, but space is limited! Please register if you plan on attending.
