Falling Walls Lab Atlantic Canada 2026
About this Event
What if three minutes could change the course of an idea — or even help solve an important global challenge?
On September 14, 2026, at 6:00 pm, Research Nova Scotia is presenting Falling Walls Lab Atlantic Canada 2026, supported by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA).
Join us at the Halifax Central Library as 14 of Atlantic Canada’s top students and early-career researchers take the stage. Each finalist gets three minutes to pitch a breakthrough idea to judges and a live audience.
The winner will represent Atlantic Canada at November’s Falling Walls Lab Global Finale in Berlin, joining 100 finalists from around the world.
The Atlantic Canadian finalists were selected from applicants across the region and represent a range of disciplines, institutions and ideas. Their challenge: tell us which wall they want to break and how they plan to do it.
Expect an evening of smart people, surprising ideas and fast-paced presentations, followed by the announcement of the 2026 Atlantic Canada winner.
Admission is free, but registration is advised.
Come hear 14 ideas that could change what comes next.
