These vaccines reduce the risk of severe illness, which is especially important for older adults, pregnant people, young children and babies, and people with chronic medical conditions or weakened immune systems.
In addition to getting recommended vaccinations, remember that simple everyday habits can help prevent the spread of illness. Washing your hands, covering coughs and sneezes, and staying home when sick can help protect yourself and others.
Bring to the vaccine clinic:
• Vaccine record: Request a free copy at bit.ly/vaccinerecordrequest
• Photo ID
• Health insurance card (if you have one)
• Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. If another adult (18 or older) brings them, we need a signed note from the parent or guardian.
Payment:
• No child is turned away because of inability to pay.
• We bill most private insurance plans, Medicaid, and Medicare. Check with your insurance company for coverage details.
• Cash, check, Visa, and Mastercard are accepted.

• Open Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (closed noon - 1 p.m.).
• Extended hours: Until 6 p.m. on Nov. 12 and 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 8, 2026. The WIC office is also open late on Dec. 8.

• While walk ins are accepted, schedule in advance at LorainCountyHealth.com/vaccines or call 440-284-3206 for the best experience. Same-day appointments are available.
