The fall tree giveaway for Bella Vista residents is set for Friday, Oct. 16. Advanced sign up is required to reserve a tree, starting at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2.
Species are available on a first come, first served basis. One tree per household is allowed.
Species available this year include Red Maple, Downy Serviceberry, Paw Paw, Redbud, White Flowering Dogwood, Tulip Poplar, and Black Gum.
Sign up online starting Oct. 2 at https://bellavistaar.gov/treegiveaway.
Instructions for pickup will be sent to those who have successfully registered to receive a tree. Residents must provide proof of residency at pickup.
The trees have been provided through a grant from Foresting the Future as part of a larger regional project to help increase and diversify the area’s tree canopy. The project is also made successful each year, two times per year thanks to members of the city’s Tree Advisory Board and the Bella Vista Foundation.
For questions, call Planning & Development at 479-855-8285 or email Christopher Hyatt at [email protected].
