Fall Theatre Workshop - Adult Acting Class (6 week series)

Open to Ages 14 and Up
(all experience levels welcome)
Six-Week Session Starting September 28th
Tuesdays 4:30-6:30 pm

This workshop is for anyone who would like to explore the craft of performance, whether they are interested in learning the fundamentals of acting for the stage, hoping to overcome stage fright, or to enhance their communication and presentation skills for work and life. Participants will gain performance skills and experience in a safe and encouraging environment.
This class will be focused on scene study. Each day will begin with improv and theater exercises followed by acting technique and character development for scene work. The class will be available with pay-what-you-can pricing thanks to our generous sponsors and a grant from Bader Philanthropies. (Value of $200)
This workshop will explore the following building blocks of theatre making:
Presence and filling the space
Self discovery and exploration
Creating and engaging with an ensemble
Character development
Relationships between players and the audience
Physical storytelling
Interaction and use of theatrical implements
Starting November 9th, after the 6-week course we will resume our drop in classes each week focusing on improv and theater games.
