FALL Session: Oct 2 - Nov 20 (8 weeks)

Each Girl Power class is themed to be fun and educational while addressing adolescent girls' emotional needs. Breathing techniques calm and center the mind and energize the body. Poses stretch tight, fast-growing muscles, build strength and body coordination. Good posture is a direct link to a confident brain too!
In addition to a variety of yogic themes, we will have some seasonal fun with Halloween, Native American drumming, and gratitude for Thanksgiving. For artistic expression, we will explore stitch meditation, a process-focus visual art concept.

The girls in this group are kind and welcoming to all - connection and friendship are an important part of each class.

About our presenter:
Kim Vulinovic, ERYT 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certification and over 20 years of teaching experience.
Kim teaches alignment based hatha and restorative classes utilizing her many years of teaching experience. She leads students through personalized pose options to maximize physical benefits and safety. She brings a lightness and joy to her classes that encourages all students to lean towards self-acceptance and gratitude. Kim studied extensively with Gabriel Halpern of Chicago’s renowned Yoga Circle as well as many other notable teachers from different schools.
At Ahimsa, Kim also teaches the Girl Power Yoga class on Wednesdays for adolescent girls in 5th through 8th grade. She has a Certification from YogaKids International and over 20 years teaching experience with children from 3 to 18 years of age. Kim is currently available to work privately or in small groups with children of any age
to address a variety of goals and concerns.
