Fall Polish Food Sale

Pierogi, fire trucks, and community spirit come together as the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish joins forces with the Shaker Road-Loudonville Fire Department for its Fall Polish Food Sale from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 13 at 250 Old Maxwell Road, Latham. Guests can enjoy authentic Polish cuisine under the tent and help raise funds for Explorer Post 475, a youth firefighting program where teens learn real-world firefighting skills.

The fire department will bring a fire truck for kids and families to explore, adding an exciting and educational element to the day. Proceeds from the Firehouse Chili Dog will directly benefit Explorer Post 475, which is associated with the Boy Scouts of America. The program is open to young men and women aged 14 - 18, who train in all aspects and techniques of firefighting under the close supervision of certified Post Advisors.

Guests can dine in or take their meals to go, choosing from a full lunch/dinner menu of Polish favorites including pierogi, golabki, kielbasa sandwiches, Polish Platters, and desserts like Polish Apple Loaf and cheesecake. Beer, wine, soda, and water will also be available.

Frozen food pre-orders are available now at bvmc.org/foodsale. Every pre-order is automatically entered into the Lucky Cart Contest, where ten winners will receive their entire order free—and winners can win more than once. Frozen pre-orders can be picked up on September 13. Frozen food will also be available to purchase during the event.
