Saturday, September 27, 10am - 4pm Perennial Crops Nursery, Hidden Grove Homestead, Dig It Native Gardens and Landscaping LLC, Papa Pawpaw’s Plants, and Schuetzen Park Historic Site are teaming up to host a plant sale. A wide variety of perennials, local ecotypes, natives, fruit trees, nut trees, berry bushes, and herbs will be available.
Schuetzen Park will be slinglin' bratwurst + sauerkraut, hot dogs, and pork chop sandwiches to fundraiser for the historic park. We will have a good ol’ fashioned chestnut roast from the chestnuts grown at the park as well! Native pawpaw and persimmon fruits will be available for tasting. Acoustic music will be played by some local acts! The historic grounds host the oldest park in Davenport; a beautiful forest and chestnut orchard you can leisurely hike through. 700 Waverly Rd, Davenport, IA 52804
