🍁 Fall Migration Birding Retreat with Carey Jo Titus 🍁
Experience the wonder of fall migration at Kaluna Farm Retreat this September.
Throughout the weekend, naturalist and experienced birder Carey Jo Titus will guide guests through the fascinating world of bird migration during one of the most active birding seasons of the year.
Kaluna's diverse habitats attract an incredible variety of species, from year-round residents to migratory birds passing through Georgia on their journey south. Guests may encounter Ruby-throated Hummingbirds, Indigo Buntings, Summer Tanagers, Yellow-breasted Chats, Louisiana Waterthrushes, and Ovenbirds, while also keeping an eye out for less common migrants such as Blackburnian Warblers, Cape May Warblers, Palm Warblers, Baltimore Orioles, and Rose-breasted Grosbeaks.
The weekend experience includes:
🦉 Nighttime owl listening
🌅 Guided sunrise birding walks
🎧 Birding-by-ear educational sessions
🌿 Time to explore and bird at your own pace
🍽️ Farm-to-table meals
🔥 Fireside evenings, music, games, and community
Whether you're an experienced birder or just beginning to discover the joy of birdwatching, this retreat offers a unique opportunity to learn, connect with nature, and witness one of the most beautiful transitions of the season.
