Fall Lawn Care Workshop
About this Event
Did you know that now is the time to care for your lawn so it looks great next year? Fall is best for regular tasks like weeding and fertilizing. It is also the best time to look for pests like European crane fly larvae and grubs. Both of these can be controlled by allowing grass to dry out in late summer and early fall. Aerating and adding compost and fertilizer strengthen grass roots to help the plants withstand soil insects. Join Master Gardeners to learn what to do this fall to "Green Up Your Lawn." We will demonstrate some handy tools, share tips, and discuss less toxic approaches to control pests like insects, moss, and weeds. Free but registration requested so we can plan ahead.
