Hello neighbors!
We are thrilled to announce our upcoming Fall Harvest Festival! 🍂 This event will be a fantastic opportunity for everyone to come together and meet their neighbors, celebrate the fall season, and enjoy a variety of fun activities. Here’s what we have planned:
🏡 House Decorating Contest – Sign Up by September 28th!
· If you'd like to participate in the House Decorating Contest, please let us know by September 28th by emailing [email protected]. The decorations can be Fall or Halloween themed, and we’ll create a map featuring all the participating homes, which will be sent out to the community a week before the festival.
· We encourage everyone to take a “Walking Tour” of the decorated houses at your leisure. Whether during your daily walks or in your spare time, explore the creativity of our neighborhood.
· For those who prefer not to walk the tour, don’t worry—you can still vote! We’ll take pictures of the decorated homes and display them on a poster at the festival. Votes can be cast based on these photos.
👻 Costume Contest
· Get ready to show off your best costumes at our Costume Contest! Whether you’re channeling spooky, funny, or creative vibes, we want to see it all! And don't worry - these can be as elaborate or as you want (even 0% elaborate!), with prizes for the best costumes in various categories. It’s a fun way to get into the Halloween spirit, so start planning your outfit now!
🔍 Scavenger Hunt
· Join us for a fun-filled scavenger hunt at the park! Explore the area, follow the clues, and discover hidden treasures. This is a great activity for all ages, so bring your family and friends. Prizes await those who complete the hunt, so don’t miss out!
🎟️ Raffles
· We will also be holding raffle drawings for some amazing prizes! Tickets will be available for purchase at the event for $1 a ticket at the HOA check-in booth, and all proceeds will go towards supporting our community activities. Make sure to grab your tickets early, and keep an eye out for the winning numbers.
🍰 Bake-Off
· Do you love to bake? Sign up for our bake-off and show off your culinary skills. It’s a friendly competition with plenty of delicious treats! Please be sure to bring a list of ingredients so we can accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies .
🎯 Lawn Games
· Our festival will feature a variety of lawn games that are perfect for all ages. We’re crafting many of the games ourselves, so if you have crafting supplies or old decorations to donate, we’d greatly appreciate it! From cornhole to ring toss, there will be plenty of ways to test your skills and have some friendly competition.
🏅 Classic Games
· Get ready for some classic festival fun with our sack races, egg-and-spoon races, and wheelbarrow races - we're open to more game suggestions too! These games are a blast from the past that everyone can enjoy. Whether you’re racing for glory or just for laughs, these activities are sure to bring out your competitive side. Gather your friends, and let’s see who comes out on top!
🎨 Pumpkin Decorating Station
· We’re adding a “Bring Your Own Pumpkin” decorating station. Bring your own pumpkin, and we’ll provide the decorating supplies. Get creative and have some fun!
🛍️ Vendor Booths
· We are excited to announce that our Fall Harvest Festival will feature a wide variety of vendors, including local crafts, food, and more! If you’re interested in showcasing your products, we’d love to have you join us. This opportunity is open to all, and we especially encourage our Somerset neighbors to set up a booth and share their talents with the community. There’s no fee to participate, but you may donate a door prize! If you’re interested, please secure your spot by emailing [email protected] by September 28th.
🪑 Community Gathering
· This event is also a fun opportunity to enjoy some good food together! We invite you to bring a lawn chair and a dessert to share if you'd like. Once again, please be sure to bring the ingredients (whether store bought or homemade) to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies if you plan to share your goodies with neighbors. Feel free to bring your own coolers with drinks as well. Let’s make this a true community celebration!

· We’re looking for a few volunteers to help make this event a success. If you’re interested in lending a hand, please reach out!
👪 Invite Friends and Family!
· This event is open to friends and family, so feel free to bring along your loved ones to join in the fun. We want the vendors to be glad they came out and want to join us next year - so the more, the merrier!
