Fall Harvest Fest
About this Event
The evening will showcase and celebrate some of our most valued purveyors - chat to them and learn their skills and try their produce showcased in a variety of ways by Ria in the kitchen. Whether it's learning to break down a whole tuna with Top Hat Jeff or shuck oysters with Spike. Forager Imports will be pouring Whiskey and Tequila, while Kelsie will be pouring Forthave.
Food Purveyors:
Double T Oyster Ranch
The Meatyard family has been working oysters since 1917, and in 2009 Rick and son Spike brought six generations of Tall Timbers know-how to a two-acre lease on Herring Creek. They build their cages from recycled wire and hand-sort every oyster.
Moon Valley Farm
What began in 2012 as a tiny farm on a tiny budget is now Emma Jagoz's 75-acre operation in Woodsboro, Maryland, farming 50 acres while resting 25 under cover crops and supplying hundreds of DC-area restaurants. Moon Valley also runs as a food hub, aggregating from other local growers and bakers to share resources, cut delivery miles, and keep small farms afloat through climate setbacks.
Dreaming Out Loud
Both supplier and charity partner, Dreaming Out Loud takes on food inequity across DC's under-resourced neighborhoods. Their work centers on food access, literacy, and building a fairer local food economy.
Baywater Seafood
Founded in 2020 by Lee Beauchamp and Matthew Holloway, Baywater raises naturally grown shellfish in Chincoteague Bay, a Delmarva coastal bay famous for briny, sweet-finish oysters — and once a major bay scallop fishery before hurricanes and disease wiped out the habitat in the 1930s. Working alongside researchers, Baywater is helping bring the bay scallop back to the East Coast and onto modern menus.
Tickets are $75 and include food, drink and entertainment.
Drinks Purveyors:
Lost Whiskey Club
A boutique bourbon distillery founded by architects Nick Cioffi and Mark Turner on 50 acres in the hills of Delaplane, Virginia, an hour from DC. Every small-batch, single-barrel straight bourbon carries its own "story number."
1953 Tequila
An ultra-premium, additive-free añejo founded by three DC-area women made from 100% Blue Weber agave and aged 15 months in American oak bourbon barrels. It's named after the year Mexican women won the vote, and it's farmed, distilled, and led by women at every level.
Lightwell Survey Vineyard
Lightwell Survey is a Virginia winery shining a new light on the traditional wine-scape. Our small batches of lively reds, dense whites and unique combinations of the two come with no preconceived descriptions or traditional aspirations.
Forthave Red
A Brooklyn distillery handcrafting botanical spirits, amari, and aperitifs. Their Red Aperitivo is a bittersweet 24% ABV infusion of 13 organic botanicals — a natural stand-in for Campari or Aperol in a spritz or Negroni.
Other Half Brewing
A Brooklyn brewery founded in 2014 by Sam Richardson, Matt Monahan, and Andrew Burman. Known for hazy, juicy IPAs and pastry stouts, it's regularly ranked among the country's best hazy IPA producers.
Don Ciccio & Figli
Founded in Ivy City in 2012 by Francesco "Ciccio" Amodeo, who grew up in Furore on the Amalfi Coast, this DC distillery revives generations-old family recipes for Italian amari, cordials, and aperitivi. Around 20 French oak-aged liqueurs now ship to 45 states.
