UTC-05:00Location
Burlington Public Library | Burlington, IA
With 1:1 help from experienced local historians and library staff, you can learn about everything from how to effectively use online tools and databases to how to begin exploring and documenting your family's history.
This year's lock-in features a presentation on Fortepan Iowa with Ft. Madison educator Caleb Gehle, plus both beginning and advanced mini-classes for genealogists. These programs are optional; participants can choose whether they would like to attend or would prefer to spend their time in independent research.
This event runs from 12 to 4 PM Sunday, October 19 in the genealogy area at Burlington Public Library. The library will be closed to the public during this time; only registered participants will be admitted. Participants may leave the event at any time, but if you will be arriving later than 12 PM, please make arrangements with the library ahead of time so we know to come let you in when you arrive.
Light refreshments will be provided.
