National Council of Jewish Women Michigan (NCJW|MI) is hosting Fall Focus 25: The Erasure of Women A Call to Action on Monday Nov. 10 from 7-9 p.m. at Adat Shalom Synagogue (29901 Middlebelt Road Farmington Hills). Frédérique Irwin who is President and CEO of the National Women’s History Museum which leads efforts to reshape how women’s stories are told in America will be the keynote speaker. The event is being held to acknowledge that women’s accomplishments have frequently been omitted from history and continue to be so even now. The museum recently launched a campaign called She is not a footnote. And neither are you. to address the underrepresentation of women in history and inspire the next generation of leaders. The aim is to put women’s stories at the forefront of people’s minds and inspire women and young girls to be bold and ambitious.
